Why Sellify Is Different From a Traditional CRM for Product Brands
Most CRMs were built around leads, contacts, deals, and conversations.
That works well for many businesses. But if you're a brand selling physical products through sales reps, your sales team needs more than a traditional CRM.
They need to know:
- What does this customer normally buy?
- What have they ordered in the past?
- What do they currently have on order?
- What's actually in stock and available to sell right now?
- What pricing does this account receive?
- When did we last communicate with them?
- Who on the sales team is responsible for the account?
- Is this account growing, slowing down, or overdue for a follow-up?
That's the problem we built Sellify to solve.
A CRM Built Around Products, Inventory, Orders, and Sales Reps
Sellify combines CRM functionality with stock-aware order entry, giving sales reps real-time visibility into inventory while they're working with an account and creating an order.
Many wholesale sales teams still rely on inventory spreadsheets that are emailed to reps weekly or periodically. The problem is that an inventory spreadsheet can become outdated within a day or even within an hour.
When a rep is working with a customer, they need to know what's available now, not what was available when a spreadsheet was generated.
By connecting inventory directly with CRM and order entry, Sellify gives sales teams access to current inventory information while they're actually selling.
Instead of jumping between a CRM, ecommerce platform, inventory system, email, and spreadsheets, your sales team can see the information they need in one place.
Open a customer account in Sellify and you can review their current orders, previous orders, products purchased, pricing, account information, and communication history.
That context matters.
Before contacting an account, a sales rep can quickly understand the entire relationship: what the customer previously purchased, what's currently on order, recent communication, and what inventory is available for their next order.
Built for Brands With Sales Reps
Sellify was designed specifically around the way product brands and wholesale sales teams actually operate.
That includes:
Stock-Aware Order Entry
Sales reps can see current inventory availability while building orders instead of relying on inventory spreadsheets that may already be outdated.
Customer Order History
Quickly see what an account purchased previously and use that information to identify reorder opportunities and recommend products.
Current Order Visibility
See what customers already have on order before contacting them or creating additional orders.
Communication History
Keep sales activity and customer communication connected directly to the account so reps and managers can understand what's happening without searching through multiple systems.
Account Management
Give reps and managers a clearer picture of every customer relationship, including orders, communication, follow-ups, and account activity.
Sales Rep Management
Organize accounts, territories, activity, orders, and sales performance without relying on disconnected spreadsheets and systems.
Wholesale and B2B Selling Tools
Give brands and their sales reps tools designed around actually selling physical products rather than managing generic CRM "deals."
Connect Sellify to the Systems You Already Use
We don't believe your CRM should replace every system in your business.
Sellify is designed to work alongside the platforms product brands already rely on.
We have native integrations with popular platforms including Shopify, Cin7, and Klaviyo, allowing important customer, order, inventory, and marketing information to work together across your technology stack.
And we're not limited to those platforms.
Sellify can connect with other software platforms that provide an API, allowing brands to integrate Sellify with the systems they already use rather than rebuilding their entire technology stack around a new CRM.
Your ecommerce platform, inventory or order management system, and marketing tools can continue doing what they do best, while Sellify becomes the place where your sales team brings that information together to manage customer relationships and generate more sales.
Why We Built Sellify
Sellify wasn't designed by a team trying to imagine how product brands operate.
It was built by people who have owned and operated brands, managed wholesale accounts, worked with independent sales reps, dealt with inventory, processed orders, managed customer relationships, and experienced firsthand the limitations of trying to piece all of those systems together.
We combined that real-world experience with a team of experienced software engineers to build the CRM we wished we had.
That experience influences how we approach every feature.
We don't add functionality simply because it sounds good on a feature list. We think about how it will actually be used by a sales rep, sales manager, customer service team, or brand owner — and whether it helps them work more efficiently or sell more product.
More Than Just a CRM
For product brands, customer relationships don't exist separately from orders and inventory.
They're connected.
Knowing that a customer hasn't been contacted recently is useful.
Knowing that they haven't been contacted recently and seeing what they purchased last time, what they currently have on order, what products are available now, and the history of your team's communication with them is much more powerful.
That's the difference we're trying to create with Sellify.
Our goal is simple:
Give product brands and their sales teams one place to understand their customers, manage relationships, see inventory, take orders, and grow sales.
If you're running a consumer product brand, wholesale business, or sales team and you've struggled with having your CRM, inventory, orders, and customer communication spread across different systems, we'd love to hear what you're currently using and what your biggest frustration is.
We're also using this community to talk openly about what we're building, get feedback from brands and sales reps, and help shape where Sellify goes next.
What would your ideal CRM for a product brand do that your current CRM doesn't?
